How to complain against any bank in India

We all use Bank accounts at this time. There are many scenarios when I got frustrated by the bad behavior of any particular bank employee in India. So, today I want to share some information about how you can register a complaint against any bank in India.

There are many reasons to register complaints against a bank most of are some of them are “If you think you have a right to do get some services and the particular bank promised and the employees of the bank are denying to give it to you.” or They are denying to open your account for any reason or you are a minor and they are not opening your account” or “Your money got debited from your bank account but the bank manager is not giving you a satisfying answer behind it.” Or anything related to Loans, Credit Cards, or Issuing Debit cards.

So, first of all, you have to register a small complaint to the bank in a written form or in Digital form. You can easily register a complaint online with most Indian Banks or you can call their customer care and tell them to register a complaint against your branch manager.

Most private banks don’t behave badly that’s why most customers of Government banks like the State Bank of India search for how to register complaints against their BM. For customers of the State Bank of India, you can register an online complaint by this website: https://crcf.sbi.co.in/ccf/

After registering a complaint you will receive a call from that branch. In my case I got calls within 3 days may be delayed in your case. After calling the person from the bank will tell you to come to the bank and the problem will be solved. After that you can go to the bank and maybe your problem can be solved, most times they solve it.

But, in my case they didn’t solve my problem after my complaints that’s why I can say what I did after this. If they don’t solve your problem after registering a complaint or don’t give you a satisfactory answer to your question or they don’t respond to your complaint within 30 days or one month then you have you can register another complaint but this time not with the particular bank but with Reserve Bank of India which is the Governing body for all the Banks in India.

Mind my words that you can’t register a complaint with RBI directly without registering a complaint with your particular bank first. In simple words, you have to register a complaint with your bank first before going to RBI. If they don’t respond to your complaint within a month or you don’t get any satisfactory answer from them then you can register a complaint with RBI against your bank.

To register a complaint with the Reserve Bank of India, you have to meet the following requirements.

  1. You must have to register a complaint to your bank first before going to register a complaint with the Reserve Bank of India.
  2. If the bank doesn’t respond to your complaint within one month then you are eligible to complain against your bank to the Reserve Bank of India.
  3. If the bank won’t give a satisfactory answer to your queries regarding the complaint or doesn’t solve your problem, then you are eligible to register a complaint against your bank with the Reserve Bank of India.

These are the minimum must requirement to register a complaint with RBI. If you don’t meet these requirements then you can’t register a complaint with RBI.

To register a complaint against your bank with the Reserve Bank of India, you have the mentioned portal and give all details and mention your problem. The portal to register a complaint against your bank is: https://cms.rbi.org.in/cms/indexpage.html

After registering a complaint with the Reserve Bank of India, your problem will be fixed 100% because RBI requests a proof from the bank that the bank solved your problem. Generally, RBI respond within 30 days in my first case they took around 30 days but in my second time, they responded in only one day. This can vary in some situations.
